Not burning out


I have been supporting my eleven year old child with severe mental health issues for nearly 4 years (the last 10 months of which have been at chronic level.

I am a single working Mum and find it difficult trying to provide the high level of daily/nightly support needed and hold down my job especially in light of all the ongoing the school absence.

I have lost all my friends as they don't understand why we are never available and my closest family members are over 2 hours away so I haven't had an overnight break since October. There are no medical professionals providing anything other than adhoc appointments.

Any advice, support or tips gratefully received on how to avoid burning out.
